BOXPARK will be located at The Goodsyard, a 4.7 hectares site and former railway goodsyard, which has been unused for over 40 years and lies between the neighbourhoods of Shoreditch, Spitalfields, and to the North of the City of London.

BOXPARK intends to strip and refit 60 shipping containers to create low cost, low risk, ‘box shops’. They will then put them together with a unique mix of international fashion, arts and lifestyle brands, galleries and cafés to create a ‘pop-up’ mall – so named because its basic building blocks are inherently movable.

BOXPARK’s philosophy is to give innovative retailers space at affordable rates – and on unbeataely flexible terms. And it’s as local as it’s global – some ‘box-shops’ will be offered to local creative industries and organisations at preferential rates to ensure BOXPARK always involves and enhances every community it joins.

Of course this is not the first Shipping Container Mall (as the developers claim), with other examples in Mexico and Kyrgyzstan.
